Musical

Research one song from a musical that you would like to perform. Write the following:
- When was it written?
- Is this piece a reflection of the period it was written in?
- Who wrote it?
- Why did you choose it?
- Describe how the composer has used the concept of structure? (1 paragraph)
- If you were to play this piece with your classmates/accompanists - how would you arrange it?
- Provide a youtube link to your song. (This must be completed at home.)
- Include a link to a website about the musical you have selected.

Your answer should be in full sentence, not dot points.

Natural Talent Myth

Do you believe natural talent makes a truly great performer?

I read this article recently and it definitely challenged my perspective.

I'm going to steal a point from Paul Wolfe. Watch the video below (it is youtube and will not work at school.)

This is Dinara Safina. Not much of a player here but she ended up becoming the world's number 1 tennis player.

Really, do you believe natural talent makes a truly great performer?

Your First Blog!

Hi year 10!
We will be creating blogs about a study into what makes a great performer.

Your first blog needs to include:
- A reflection on the Answer Garden experience
- What makes a great performer in your eyes?
- List some great performers - especially performers that inspire you.
- Add a link to one of your listed performer's web/wikipedia page.

Below is a list of student blogs, it will be updated once they have all been added in. Feel free to comment on each other's blogs.
